MEET PASTOR ROY
PASTOR ROY DOCKERY A.k.A. Roy-Al IS THE PRODUCT OF A NOMADIC UPBRINGING THAT ALLOWED HIM TO DEVELOP A COMPREHENSIVE PERSPECTIVE OF THE WORLD FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TRACKS. SIMILAR TO THE STORY OF HIS URBAN HEROES, HE WAS RAISED BY A SINGLE MOTHER, AFTER HIS PARENTS’ DIVORCE AT THE AGE OF 3. ROY HAS BEEN EXPOSED TO THE OVERWHELMING REALITY OF THE BLACK GHETTO EXPERIENCE.
ATTENDING THIRTEEN SCHOOLS, MOVING STATE TO STATE, AND HOME TO HOME HAD A DETRIMENTAL IMPACT ON HIS SOCIAL SKILLS SO HE SECLUDED TO ART AS HIS PRIMARY FORM OF EXPRESSION. STARTING WITH SKETCHES, AND MOVING TO PORTRAITS, ROY FOUND FREEDOM IN ART THAT ALLOWED HIM TO ESCAPE THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF HIS HOME ENVIRONMENT.
TRANSITIONING IN HIS TEENAGE YEARS FROM CRAFTING PICTURES, TO USING WRITTEN WORDS TO EMPHASIZE HIS EMOTIONS. WRITING BECAME A WAY FOR ROY TO SPEAK ABOUT HIS LIFE AND PAIN IN A WAY THAT WAS BOTH UPLIFTING TO THOSE WHO LISTENED, AND CATHARTIC TO THE PERFORMER. ATTENDING A HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGE INTRODUCED ROY TO A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF COMMUNITY ACTIVISM, CIVIL RIGHTS AND THE NEED FOR A VOICE OF CHANGE.
ROY IS WORKING ON A PLATFORM TO ENCOURAGE DRAMATIC CHANGE IN OUR COMMUNITIES BY FOCUSING ON THREE KEY FACTORS. LITERACY, IDENTITY, AND EQUITY ARE THE KEYS TO OVERCOMING THE “L.I.E.” THAT STEREOTYPES PROJECT IN POPULAR SOCIETY.
ROY HOPES TO CONTINUE TO SPREAD HIS MESSAGE OF CHANGE AND OPPORTUNITY TO THE YOUTH OF AMERICA, THROUGH MUSIC, AND OUTREACH, INSPIRING A NEW GENERATION OF LEADERS TO CONTINUE THE FIGHT FOR A BETTER TOMORROW.

Rapper and singer Demarco Castle, aka Gemstones, previously recorded and performed under the name Gemini. The Chicago native was featured prominently on two songs -- "Just Might Be OK" and "He Say She Say" -- on Lupe Fiasco's 2006 album Food & Liquor.
After he changed his name to Gemstones, he contributed to a handful of cuts on Fiasco's 2007 follow-up, The Cool. An album of his own was planned for release through Fiasco's 1st & 15th label, but he ultimately scrapped it and opted to release strictly Christian music.
Though Gemstones had released a handful of mix tapes from 2016 through 2012, it wasn't until 2015 he released his first proper album, Elephant In The Room.

I told y'all our people are sick and in need of healing, Hence, why "It's Bigger Than Hip Hop" ! .
We once again have jump on a demoralizing bandwagon, with this gang goofy mess #DnPchallenge.
I salute this Queen for taking a stand using her talents to speak truth in the mist of the madness.
Preach has the tone and resonance that can be heard on the radio as well as go viral through the web all the while not steering to far away from the hearts and souls of true music lovers.
Through his music you find a man in love with life and appreciative of the trials and tribulations endured by those in our history books, those most likely to follow in his footsteps, and those most likely to look up and say
“I want to be just like Preach”. With tracks like “Eighty Six”, “Pray”, and “Heaven to Hell” you are taken in to the true reality of the inner city neighborhood.
You are taken in to the drugs, projects, violence, and the struggle to make it out alive. You are given a lesson on life and the battles that have been fought to get us to where we are today as well as the role and influence of politics on the lives to afraid or unwilling to understand it.
Most importantly you are sat down and given a lesson on true struggles endured by real individuals on a daily basis.
Many artists talk about the dreams and aspirations of this money hungry population, however few know first-hand what it’s like to be in this predicament yet remain determined to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
